Have you made friendships that exist exclusively in cyberspace? If so, how are they different from f2f relationships? If you have not formed cyber relationships, why not?
hmm, your opening sentence is a bit ominous and i wonder why you feel that way? i agree that social networking sites like myspace and facebook play are an important means by which people form online relationships. one of the things i notice about online relationships is that oftentimes one adds friends on facebook or myspace because they know someone who you have an off line relationship with. (like a close friend.)
ReplyDeletei find it interesting that you suggest that online communities can provide the means by which to grow close to people through words, a dying art in todays world. i'm not certain it's words people are using to become closer to one another.
